Measurement while drilling (MWD) and measurement while logging (MWL) require a lot of information, including hook load. Service companies usually bring their measurement packages, which include a clamp line tensiometer (CLT) able to measure/log the weight of the drill string.
Easy to install at the dead-end rope of the hoist, the CLT provides a 4-20mA signal proportional to the load applied to the acquisition package. Easy to remove, it is quickly dismounted from the rope when a drilling or mud-logging job has been completed.
Featuring a sturdy design with a connector protection mount, the CLT is designed to sustain rough handling from the rig floor personnel.
Available in different capacities and rope diameters, SENSY’s tensiometer is provided with ATEX, IECEX (Ex ia IIC T6) or/and CSA (CA/US) Class 1 Div 1 certification(s).
